Left 4 Dead 2 was al een erg vermakelijke game, maar perfect was hij niet. Valve doet er alles aan om de game zo goed mogelijk te maken, en wel via patches.
Er verschenen eerder al patches voor de game, maar alle problemen waren nog niet opgelost. Daarom heeft Valve een nieuwe patch vrijgegeven die veel problemen zal fixen.

- Fixed players pushing against some props causing them to accumulate downward velocity and then take falling damage when they let go of the forward key
- Fixed a case where an incapped survivor inside a rescue vehicle would trigger both the escape sequence and a round restart
- Fixed the helping hand from getting stuck when extended
De patch zal automatisch gedownload worden wanneer je Steam opstart. Xbox 360 bezitters van de game moeten echter nog even wachten, voor hun verschijnt de patch later deze maand.
